Day 3

We are here at our start of Route 66: Barstow, California! No mechanical problems today...just miles of beautiful country. What a blessing to see so many places we have never seen. Enroute we had coffee with the locals at the storefront picnic tables at Johannesburg, CA. We completely ran them out of pastries. We were told by Donna's relatives to stop by an Antique Store. I have no clue what the name of the town was, but we were told, we would be invited next door and yes, we were. Jack Weber and a few others of you would have thought you died and went to heaven. The place was filled with old cars, vintage gasoline pumps, airplanes, jeeps and everything else. Pictures will be posted.

The group was hungry and so had an All American lunch at...Denny's! Then we went to the Harvey House Museum, Railroad Museum and The Mother Road Museum. We are having an early day for the first time as the guys are tired of driving. Tomorrow? We aren't sure...but we will keep traveling on Route 66. God has been good at going before us and keeping us safe and getting us fine motels without any problem. We'll keep you posted as we travel on.
